Dr. Alvarado performs consulting services for the Texas Department of Insurance/ Division of Worker’s Compensation. He is one of only four Chiropractic Arbiters in the State of Texas. He is a Designated Doctor and Member of the MQRP Committee.

Dr. Alvarado’s educational background includes the following:
- Bachelor of Science Degree from Texas State University in 1983
- Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Texas Chiropractic College in 1987
- Certification in Acupuncture from Texas Chiropractic College in 2000
- Extensive post graduate training in the conservative management of musculoskeletal pain
- Extensive personal research in the integrative management of musculoskeletal pain
- Clinical experience to include; 30 years of experience in the practice of Chiropractic and 17 years of experience in the practice of Acupuncture
